OUR VISION

What began as a desire for Valley Christian School to have a more suitable practice venue for its football and (state championship) track programs, we believe God birthed into the idea of the Valley Legends Sports Complex. Jeremiah 29:7 (NLT) says, “And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you. Pray to the Lord for it, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” The Valley Legends Sports Complex is the embodiment of the prophet Jeremiah’s words in that it will be a hub for health and hope on the south side for all residents of the city of Youngstown.  It aims to foster a safe, vibrant, and appealing atmosphere, restoring community pride and dignity in the city's historic midtown area, on this once-hallowed ground of Youngstown high school athletics.  As a collaborative effort between Valley Christian School and Youngstown Jubilee Urban Development Corporation, the complex will be instrumental in revitalizing and nurturing a healthy community along the Market Street corridor, one of the key gateways to the city of Youngstown.
